The Carriage House Cottage: The spacious 530 sq. ft. of this charming & elegant private cottage includes a large bedroom with a luxurious king-sized pillow top French style bed, a full size closet and a sitting area with two rocking chairs. The parlor room has a 27" color Satellite TV & stereo radio inside the armoire, a wide variety of books, FREE Wireless Internet, a comfortable futon couch for lounging, oak café table & two chairs, countertop, small refrigerator and a hot water dispenser. The modest but stylish ceramic tiled bathroom has a refreshing shower. The cottage is your private hide-away facing the oak courtyard, main house, stables and park. OR the "Meadowlook Suite"  (Closed until Fall 2010) in your private quarters of the main house: Ascend the outside staircase leading you to your second floor balcony entrance. Escape back in time to the elegance of 19th century France as you surrender yourself to this luxurious queen size pillow top bed; exquisitely hand carved walnut in a Romanesque design. The room also has an antique dresser with a large oval full length mirror. Your private third floor parlor is found up the quaint oak railed staircase inside your bedroom. You'll find a 20" color satellite TV, café table & chairs and comfy cushioned love seat to relax in. A few steps down the second floor hallway is your private large tile-floored and Oriental carpet adorned bathroom. You'll find great lighting for the extra large make-up and full length mirrors, and a refreshing shower in the antique clawfoot tub. A small personal refrigerator is outside your door on your private covered balcony which offers lovely views of the pond and park.

~ Gourmet style breakfast is served elegantly; always privately and by candle light in the formal dining room of the main house and alternately on the verandah overlooking the lovely pond. (Breakfast seating is 8:30, 9:30 & 10:30 AM promptly only) For business travelers or travelers on tight schedules, with advance notice a continental style breakfast or a no-breakfast discount can be arranged. In-season from their citrus orchard and garden, guests will be offered delicious freshly-picked squeezed orange juice & grapefruit and vegetables & herbs. Daily treats are always found in your private parlors with your refrigerators containing soft drinks of your choice.

~ Private horseback riding for beginners to experienced is available on premises. Their horses are well mannered and you will ride on picturesque Florida terrain along the park waterway and through an extensive area of delightful and thrilling wooded trails. ~ Free unlimited use of their bicycles for the beautiful paved park trail that stretches for miles over the bridge along a lovely waterway. 

~ Any time of day, enjoy the covered dock which offers a relaxing place to read a book or just harmonize with nature. Be adventurous, venture across the pond in their canoe while watching a fish jump; maybe take a swim. Perhaps their friendly ducks will swim along beside you. Equus Meadow has often been called a "freedom petting zoo" as they have very friendly animals, accompanied by domestic and wild birds, who all find Equus Meadow a safe haven & loving home.
